Metal Magmeter Flow Sensor (Signet 2552)

sp1

The Signet 2552 Magmeter Flow Sensor is a heavy duty, high performance sensor in an adjustable-insertion configuration that can be used with a ball valve for hot-tap installations. This insertion style flow sensor has no moving parts and is constructed of corrosion-resistant materials to provide long-term reliability with minimal maintenance costs.

The 2552 is versatile and simple-to-install, delivering reliable flow measurement over a wide dynamic range in pipe sizes ranging from DN50 to DN1200 (2 to 48 inches). Signet 2552 Magmeters offer a variety of output options compatible with Signet flow instrumentation that feature a frequency or digital (S3L) input. The blind transmitter (4 to 20 mA output) or digital sensor interface is available for long distance signal transmission.

The empty pipe detection features a zero flow output when the electrodes are not completely wetted. The frequency output is bi-directional while the 4 to 20 mA output can be set for uni- or bi-directional flow. The 4 to 20 mA output is factory spanned and can be changed using the PC compatible accessory set-up tool.

Fields of Application:

  • Municipal Water Distribution
  • Water Inlets to Process Plants
  • Surface, Ground and Ocean Water
  • Chemical Processing
  • Water and Wastewater Monitoring
  • Industrial Water Distribution

Plastic Magmeter Flow Sensor (Signet 2551)

sp2

The Signet 2551 Display Magmeter is an insertion style magnetic flow sensor without any moving parts. All versions are constructed of corrosion-resistant materials to provide long-term reliability with minimal maintenance costs. Utilizing the comprehensive line of Signet installation fittings, sensor alignment and insertion depth is automatic.

These versatile, simple-to-install sensors deliver repeatable flow measurement over a wide dynamic range in pipe sizes ranging from DN15 to DN200 (0.5 to 8 inches), satisfying the requirements of many diverse applications (contact factory for larger pipe sizes). Signet 2551 Magmeters offer three output options for use with Signet flow instrumentation using a frequency or digital (S3L) sensor output. The 4 to 20mA output can be used for a direct input to PLCs, chart recorders, etc. Both the 4 to 20mA output and digital (S3L) sensor interface are available for long distance signal transmission of up to 1,000ft. The 2551 Magmeter with built-in display can be used for permanent and resettable total. And what’s more, the display contains multi-languages with English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese menu options.

The empty pipe detection features a zero flow output when the sensors are not completely wetted. The frequency output is bi-directional while the 4 to 20mA output can be set for uni- or bi-directional flow.

Flow Wet-Tap Valve (Signet 3519)

sp3

The flow wet-tap valve serves as a unique interface between the installation fitting and the wet-tap style type 515 and type 2536 flow sensors. It provides a fast and easy method of removing the sensor from the pipe under specified operating temperatures.

Fields of Application:

  • filtration systems
  • chemical production
  • pump protection
  • water distribution

In-Line Rotor/Flow-Through Sensors (Signet 2000, 2100, 2507)

sp4

The GF Piping Systems line of in-line rotor sensors is ideal for measuring flow rates as low as 0.11 lpm in applications such as dosing.

The inherent sensor body design allows easy access for cleaning, inspection and rotor replacement without the need for powering down. The small compact design is perfect for tightly-spaced installations.

Fields of Application:

  • dosing
  • batch dispensing
  • high purity chemical displensing

Metal Paddlewheel Flow Sensors (Signet 525, 2517, 2540)

sp5

Similar to its plastic counterparts, the GF Piping Systems line of metal paddlewheel flow sensors also features an open cell design that eliminates pressure drop in the process pipe, making them ideal for gravity flows.

Built from rugged metals such as stainless steel and brass, some sensors also offer the option of a hot-tap design which allows for sensor installation into a full pressurized pipe without system shut-down.

Fields of Application:

  • HVAC
  • cooling systems
  • chemical transport

Plastic Paddlewheel Flow Sensors (Signet 515, 2536, 2537)

sp6

The GF Piping Systems family of plastic paddlewheel flow sensors features a four-blade paddle design that ensures optimal performance in lower flow rates than competitor five or six-blade rotors.

The open cell design and controlled insertion depth, using the full line of Signet fittings, work together to deliver a linear and repeatable output over a wide dynamic range, with virtually no pressure drop. Some models are also available in a wet-tap design.

Fields of Application:

  • pure water production
  • filtration systems
  • chemical production
  • pump protection

Ultrasonic Flow Sensor

sp7

The type 3300 ultrasonic flow monitoring system advances the use of doppler ultrasonic technology in flow measurement by utilizing proprietary “Advanced Spectrum” signal processing to measure the entire flow stream.

Fields of Application:

  • industrial/municipal wastewater
  • pump station monitoring
  • sewer and stormwater flow monitoring

Vortex Flow Sensors (Signet 7000/7001)

sp8

The type 7000/7001 flow sensors have no moving parts and utilize a naturally occurring phenomenon in which whirling masses of liquid, or vortices, are shed downstream of a stationary object within a flow stream, and at a rate directly proportional to the velocity of the flow stream.

The GF Piping Systems vortex sensors develop vortices around a narrow bluff body and direct them to an encapsulated piezoelectric sensor. Factory calibration and electronic conditioning produce an extremely accurate and reliable output.
